Field Service Engineer – BESS

The Harry James Group are working in partnership with a globally recognised EPC who are currently expanding due to current and new projects secured. Our client is looking to appoint Field Service Engineers’ for the Energy Storage & Optimization business.

Responsibilities:

– Perform Commissioning, Field Service, Warranty and/or Agreement related activities according to the work plan.

– Service Technician or Engineer needs to be able to take the ownership of technical deliberations and field service activities and must be able facilitate technical contact point between internal and external stakeholders.

– Participate in development of new working methods within own responsibility area.

– Make analysis with adequate conclusions and recommendations for how to solve complex technical problems of the customer on-site. Report the related work progress to relevant stakeholders.

– Solve complex technical and operating problems of the customer as well as report and propose product improvement needs to reach quality and cost targets and ensure customer satisfaction.

– Create quality Service Work Reports within set time limits.

– Follow up and participate on field tests if any.

– To support in providing advanced applications training for internal local field service resources team.

– Participate in customer meetings as local representative in the electrical and automation and / or mechanical aspects if needed.

– Provide sales support to internal stakeholders as needed.

We expect you to have:

– BSc. in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or any relevant experience in the field of Battery Storage and Solar (PV)

– Electrical & Automation System and solution knowledge

– Electrical & Automation Mechanical System and solution knowledge e.g., HVAC a plus

– Experience with programmable logic controllers, frequency drives, electrical protection devices, computer systems, Ethernet networks, firewalls, OPC-servers, and PLC

– Experience in electrical and/or mechanical installations and commissioning

– Experience in commissioning new power plants as an electrical and automation or mechanical Engineer a plus

– Experience with Energy Storage System

– Leading field tests and developing new products with customers and research and development organizations within the company

– Local working permits, certifications a plus and knowledgeable of local regulations

– Willing and available for travel (domestic and international) up to 60% of the time

– Car driver’s license

– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
