Read the role description and choose projects that demonstrate the responsibilities it describes. Prepare to explain the situation, your contribution and the outcome, including what you learned.
Explain your thinking
A useful technical example shows more than the final result. Explain the constraints, alternatives and trade-offs you considered. Be clear about which decisions were yours and where you collaborated with others.
Make it a two-way conversation
Ask about priorities, team structure and how success will be assessed. Confirm the next steps before the conversation ends. If a question falls outside your experience, be honest and explain how you would approach learning or investigating it.
